As all our friends know, Rhonda and I just returned from the Historical Novel Society conference in Denver. We plunked down some bucks and asked our IT guy, Jim, to upload Murder at the Leopard to Chanticleer Reviews.
Chanticleer does trade reviews as opposed to peer reviews and Amazon reviews. My understanding is that this reaches an audience that is more prone to buy books - movie people, librarians, publishers, booksellers, and the like.
Have any writers out there had a trade review of their book and if so, what were the results??
Find out and talk about medieval history, Sicily and the Mediterranean during the Crusades, food and culture, what did medieval people eat and drink (our sleuth is a tavern owner, after all!!) and what about money and trade? Spices and what about the streets of a medieval town after dark? And what about the women in medieval Sicily? What did they wear, eat, drink and how did they get married (or not)?

Mille grazie to Jan from San Acacio and Carolyn from Questa - the Regno Series
I want to thank both of you for your great comments on Murder at the Leopard and Malice Stalks the Leopard. Jan, our ETA for the third book is this October but don't hold me to that! I'll be happy to keep you posted.
If either of you have the time or inclination, a review of our books would be most appreciated on Amazon.
I'm thrilled that you love our books and you'll be glad to know that when the Vespers Trilogy is completed, a new generation will be showcased and that trilogy will be called The Regno Trilogy, the Regno being the Kingdom of Sicily. Stay tuned!
Any and all comments and critiques are totally welcome. Also your favorite mystery authors, favorite mystery books and favorite historical novels.
